The SmartMove electronic logbook displays your recent driving history. This logbook has been approved for use by the NZTA in New Zealand and is able to be used when requested to produce your regulatory logbook to show your working hours.
The logbook is available to view from;
· SmartMove MDT screen in the vehicle
· The driver’s smartphone if the driver has installed the SmartDriver app
Note: You are considered to be working if you are logged in. It is not sufficient to simply make yourself unavailable.
MDT
The driver can access the electronic logbook directly from the in-car MDT screen. The icon is generally located in the extended menu options.
The driver is able to choose a date to view, add additional non-SmartMove work periods or add a note. The report can be sent by e-mail to multiple recipients and it can also be printed if you have a printer connected in your car.

SmartDriver app
The End of Shift report can be accessed easily from the SmartDriver App. The driver is able to add additional non-SmartMove work periods or add a note. The report can be e-mailed to multiple recipients.
A copy of the end or shift report can be received via email and printed. The driver is able to send this directly from either the in car MDT screen or from the SmartDriver App.
